Hotel Forty Five Launches Live at Forty Five Music Series

MACON, Ga. (Nov. 3, 2023) – Hotel Forty Five, the historic boutique hotel situated amongst Macon’s vibrant downtown area, announces its Live at Forty Five music series. Starting this month, Hotel Forty Five will host live music from local artists on the first Friday and third Thursday of the month at Loom and second and fourth Saturdays of the month at Hightales Rooftop Bar.

“With Macon’s lively, deep-rooted music scene, the addition of live music aligns seamlessly with our mission,” says Gary W. Byrd, general manager of Hotel Forty Five. “Our goal has always been to provide a space where the local community can come together, and we look forward to fostering an environment where we can support Macon’s musical talents.”

Each month, Hotel Forty Five will feature a lineup of up-and-coming local artists to perform throughout the hotel. The series will kick off on November’s First Friday – a fan-favorite event held by local businesses on the first Friday of each month in Macon’s downtown area – with live music now on Loom’s patio.

The November lineup includes the following:

• Friday, November 3 – First Friday featuring Adam & The Testifiers at Loom
• Saturday, November 11 – Live at Forty Five featuring Makeda Nichelle at Hightales Rooftop Bar
• Thursday, November 16 – Live at Forty Five featuring Amani Rose at Loom
• Saturday, November 25 – Live at Forty Five featuring Makeda Nichelle at Hightales Rooftop Bar

All three artists hail from Middle Georgia and bring a unique sound to the series. Through Adam Henley’s ten-year career as a professional drummer, Adam & The Testifiers have played its soul and funk at festivals across the South, such as Suwannee Hulaween and New Orleans Jazz Fest. Makeda Nichelle is a soulful artist from Macon with a distinctive vibe, creating thoughtful music that promotes self-love and healing.  Amani Rose is a multi-talented musician who shares her love of music through her voice, saxophone, flute and piano, while also serving as the director of the Creative Arts and Music Program in Macon.

Guests and locals can gather for a pre-show dinner with Southern revival-inspired food at Loom and enjoy specialty cocktails and Macon’s iconic downtown skyline at Hightales Rooftop Bar. Music lovers and travel enthusiasts can explore Macon’s historic roots all weekend long by booking an overnight stay.
