Hotel Forty Five Appoints Mary Orozco as New Food & Beverage Manager

MACON, Ga. (Feb. 20, 2024) – Hotel Forty Five has announced the promotion of Mary Orozco to Food & Beverage Manager at the downtown Macon boutique hotel. In her new role, she will oversee food and beverage operations across all culinary outlets, including the hotel’s popular signature restaurant Loom, its sixth-floor Hightales Rooftop Bar, and the eclectic Reckon Coffee & Wine Bar. Orozco’s responsibilities will also include managing the property’s culinary staff and collaborating directly with Executive Chef Matt Schleis.

Orozco, who previously served as Assistant Food & Beverage Manager at Hotel Forty Five, has almost a decade of experience in the culinary and hospitality industry. Her career has spanned fine dining, casual dining and hospitality management, including positions as Food & Beverage Director at Holiday Inn Houma and General Manager at O’Charley’s Restaurant + Bar and Chili’s. Most recently, Orozco served as a Certified Trainer at Slater Hospitality, managing all employee training and coaching.

Hotel Forty Five occupies one of downtown’s few remaining high-rises at the intersection of Cherry and First Streets, and Cotton Avenue, sitting at an iconic angle for which the hotel is named. Its signature chef-driven restaurant, Loom, is open for dinner Monday through Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 5 to 11 p.m., Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m., and brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The sixth-floor Hightales Rooftop Bar is open Monday through Thursday from 4 to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. and Sunday from 4 to 9 p.m. Reckon Coffee & Wine Bar is open daily from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
