Downtown Macon Boutique Hotel Recognized with National and Local Awards

MACON, Ga. (Oct. 20, 2022) – Hotel Forty Five has recently been recognized for two awards on a local and national scale. The restored historic boutique hotel in Downtown Macon has been awarded Tribute Portfolio’s Best Hotel Opening of 2021 by Marriott International as well as the recipient of NewTown Macon’s 360 Degrees Award.

At the Autograph Collection and Tribute Portfolio General Manager and Sales Leader Conference held in El Paso, Texas on October 11, Hotel Forty Five was awarded the 2021 Tribute Portfolio Best Hotel Opening. In addition to the Tribute Portfolio recognition, Hotel Forty Five has been recognized by NewTown Macon – a non-profit public-private partnership leading a community-wide movement to restore downtown Macon to its original beauty and cultivate a prosperous city. Each year, NewTown Macon recognizes businesses, organizations and individuals who have demonstrated exceptional passion and commitment to the revitalization of Downtown Macon through its Partners in Progress awards on October 19. Hotel Forty Five opened in late 2021 on the iconic 45-degree angle formed by Cherry and First Streets and Cotton Avenue, a city design that originally served as transportation of cotton to and from the river.
