TAMPA, Fla. (November 6, 2013) – Tampa’s Epicurean Hotel has officially announced an opening date of Wednesday, December 18. The web site – EpicureanHotel.com – is now accepting reservations for stays from December 27 and beyond. To make reservations, guests may visit the hotel’s site directly or book through Marriott.com. Those wanting to book a stay earlier than December 27 are asked to call the hotel directly.
“We’re thrilled to have the opening date set and are happy our neighbors in Hyde Park will have a fantastic new place for family and friends to stay over the holiday season,” said Joe Collier, Mainsail Lodging & Development’s president.
Opening just in time for the holidays, the Epicurean has gift cards available that can be used toward room nights in the highly-anticipated 137-room boutique hotel. Gift cards can also be applied to dining and drinks in Élevage or EDGE; a culinary-themed treatment in Spa Evangeline; a wine or cooking class in the Epicurean Theatre; and sweet cravings from Chocolate Pi pâtisserie.
Located in the trendy Hyde Park historic district of South Tampa, Fla., the food-focused Epicurean Hotel will feature a state-of-the-art culinary classroom known as the Epicurean Theatre; Élevage, a restaurant where classic recipes are re-imagined; Edge Social Drinkery rooftop bar; Chocolate Pi patisserie; Bern’s Fine Wines & Spirits wine shop; Evangeline full-service spa; and 5,200-square feet of flexible event space. A few of the special experiences planned for the Epicurean include bicycles to explore Hyde Park and Bayshore Boulevard, evening wine samplings, signature organic bath products, and luxury linens and pillows. The Epicurean will be part of the popular annual Bern’s WineFest, and will host a variety of cooking demonstrations and classes, wine exhibitions and more from renowned chefs and sommeliers from around the world, catering to beginner and experienced foodies alike.
The Epicurean is being developed in collaboration with the legendary Bern’s Steak House, and will be the first newly constructed property in the United States to join the prestigious Autograph Collection® of Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE: MAR).
