Job Summary

Primary responsibilities include analysis and financial reporting, audit and control, and balance sheet reconciliation.

  • Assist with the monthly close of financial statements to include recording of journal entries, analysis, inquiries, and review.
  • Reconcile Credit Card Batch payments.
  • Invoice Direct Bill Accounts, including checking references for Direct Bill approval.
  • Participate in internal, external, and regulatory audit processes and ensure compliance with standard and local operating procedures.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively identify problems and generate solutions.
  • Ensure a strong accounting and operating control environment to safeguard assets, improve operations and profitability. Ensure compliance with all applicable local laws and procedures.
  • Advise Controller on existing and evolving operating / financial issues.
  • Assist Controller in creation of accurate Forecast, Annual Budget and business plan process.
  • Reconciles Balance Sheet to ensure account balances are supported by appropriate documentation in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure meeting of all required deliverable deadlines.
  • Ensure P&L is accurate.
  • Ensure strong local internal control environment, periodically audit and assess operation areas of risks.
  • Support and complete additional duties as necessary and assigned.
  • Completion of General Ledger.

Education and experience

  • 2- year college degree or equivalent in Finance and Accounting or related Major.
  • Work experience in the field of accounting preferred.
  • Previous hotel experience preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of Quickbooks, Opera and Aireus software a plus.
  • Experience with Excel required.
  • General Ledger experience required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to interact patiently, tactfully, and diplomatically with internal and external guests.


Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, including walk up and down stairs.
  • Corrected vision to normal range.
  • Ability to work long hours as needed
