The soon-to-open Residence Inn by Marriott® Tampa Wesley Chapel is located on the 120-acre campus of the Wiregrass Ranch Sports Complex of Pasco County.  Our hotel provides more space and more flexibility, so our guests can travel the way they love to live. 128 spacious suites with full kitchens, expansive outdoor spaces, an on-site market, and a robust, daily hot breakfast create a homelike atmosphere. The Skybox, the only rooftop bar in Wesley Chapel, features spectacular views, refreshing beverages, and small plates.

Skybox servers will be responsible for the dining experience to include greeting the guests, serving the guest in a gracious and professional manner that represents the highest of standards to ensure exceptional service to all guests that is consistent and continually in accordance with Marriott standards under the franchise of Mainsail Lodging & Development.

Status: Non – Exempt — $9/ hour + Benefits

Essential Functions:

  • Baseline cocktail knowledge to include classic cocktail recipes and recipes of in-house cocktails as trained by bar staff and management
  • Serves guests in an efficient courteous manner following the proper steps of service
  • Report to work on time and in proper uniform/approved attire
  • Work as part of a team with all team members within the hotel
  • Enjoy having FUN in a sports themed atmosphere
  • Check station assigned for cleanliness of area
  • Set up tables with items needed for service
  • Have necessary tools to run the shift such as tray, pen, corkscrew
  • Knowledge of all menu items to include prep time, preparations, sauces, allergies, and accompaniments
  • Ability to use descriptors to describe dishes
  • Be aware of any specials, soups, drinks, and any items that are running low
  • Ability to handle station, or when situations arise, ability to let manager/supervisor know ahead of time so as not to affect the guest experience
  • Follow cash handling procedures, and must be able to explain shortages and overages
  • Upsell items to guests at all interactions
  • Bus tables quickly and quietly ensuring no sticky residue is left on the table
  • Ability to carry tray
  • Light food running to include carrying at least two plates at warm or hot temperature
  • Perform other duties as management requests to service our guests
  • Ability to use POS (point of sale) system

Hotel Performance:

  • Ensure successful performance assisting guests with an exceptional experience to ensure high performing scores on the GSS according to Marriott.

Qualification Standards:

Education & Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous serving position required
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to use technology, e.g., tablets
