Public Space Attendant

The Lobby/ Public Space Attendant will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all interior and exterior public areas to ensure exceptional service to all guests that is consistent and continually in accordance with brand, property and company guidelines.

Essential Functions:

  • Be able to communicate effectively with guest and co-workers.
  • Acknowledge and greet guests in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Safely clean public areas with the proper chemicals, adhering to all COVID cleaning protocols outlined by housekeeping leadership.  This includes wearing proper personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain all public areas to ensure they are free from dust and/ or scuffs marks on windowsills, door frames and base boards.
  • Clean and sanitize all public area guest and back of house restrooms in accordance with department cleanliness checklists.
  • Sweep, mop and vacuum hallways daily.
  • Clean inside the elevators and polish elevator tracks and landings.
  • Maintain closets in order to keep par levels to standards.
  • Respond to any requests generated by front office and housekeeping using  the Empower platform.
  • Keep stairwells and ice machine areas free from debris.
  • Empty all exterior trash including pool, front entrance, and parking garage areas.
  • Use blower to clean around pool area.
  • Report any engineering issues.
  • Assist as needed with guests special request for pre-arrival.
  • Professional communication while using technology,
  • Maintain a positive and friendly attitude.
  • Report any suspicious activity or unusual items in room.
  • Ability to take initiative  and handle assignments with limited supervision.
  • Follow all policies and procedures.
  • Make sound judgments quickly.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Able to squat, bend and reach.
  • Corrected vision to normal range.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lb.
  • Mentally demanding
  • Any additional requirements as needed from Management.
