Job Summary:

The Pool Attendant will monitor the pools and surrounding areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction.

Essential Functions

  • Straighten tables and chairs regularly
  • Answer guest inquiries
  • Throw away any visible trash
  • Prevent items such as glass from being used in the pool area
  • Offer clean towels to guests and remove the dirty ones
  • Keep the pool and pool grounds clean
  • Work as a team with all other departments
  • Monitor activities of guests to ensure safety
  • Report any suspicious activity to a manager on property
  • Complete in-house incident reports if/when necessary and report to a manager on property.
  • Ability to take initiative and handle assignments with limited supervision
  • Follow all hotel policies and procedures as outlined in the team member handbook
  • Be familiar with emergency safety measures


Hotel Performance

  • Ensure successful performance assisting guests with an exceptional experience.


Qualification Standards

Education & Experience

  • High School diploma or higher
  • Previous hospitality experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written


Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to squat and bend
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Corrected vision to normal range
  • Ability to work long hours as needed
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
