The Operations Technology Manager has comprehensive responsibility for Mainsail Lodging and Development in-the-field software applications and business technologies. Provides leadership in planning and managing the adoption, implementation, utilization, and optimization of branded, third-party or other industry applications and technologies to create value to benefit team members and guests. The ideal candidate provides in-depth technical expertise for transitioning and existing portfolio properties regarding both technological and operational initiatives. The position reports to the Corporate Director of Technology.

Business Requirements:

  • Familiarity with industry systems including those currently in use by Mainsail Lodging and Development (MICROS, Opera, FOSSE, MARSHA, Lightspeed)
  • Ability to work with hotel teams and regional leadership to understand needs and clearly articulate solutions
  • Serves as point of escalation for vendor and property users
  • Ability to work with PMS, POS, sales system, SaaS and applications vendors and service providers to identify, vet and acquire systems that will increase efficiency and achieve value
  • Effective communication with property executives and corporate staff to convey issues and or possible solutions necessary
  • Engage in task force duties for property support and projects
  • Analyze and report on support data to determine the best solutions
  • Ability to deal with confidential information in a discrete manner, not compromising company and/or personal confidences.

Business Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge using and administrating VMware.
  • Strong knowledge using and administrating 0365 platform
  • 2-5 years of experience working in IT operations
  • Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies
  • Experience in Hotel Technology strongly preferred
  • Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize
  • Ability to manage internal and external resources to address day-to-day needs for applications troubleshooting and issues resolution
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
