Job Summary:

The housekeeping supervisor must be able to assist the Housekeeping Manager or Assistant Manager in providing a clean and sanitary facility for the safety and security of our guests and team members.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Bi lingual, read, write and speak both English and Spanish.
  • Computer literate.
  • Able to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
  • Must enjoy working with people and possess a professional personality.
  • Must maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to complete work with the established guidelines.
  • Must have organizational skills and be good at problem solving.
  • The ability to follow directions, work independently and within a team.
  • Leadership skills that positively enhance the department’s morale.

Responsibilities:

  • Break out the house and assign rooms.
  • Assign  and inspect projects and general cleans.
  • Communicate late check outs, stay overs and requests to the housekeeper/houseperson.
  • Check public areas for cleanliness and supplies.
  • Assist/complete linen/supply inventory if necessary.
  • Ensure everyone follows rules, regulations and policies.
  • Conduct room inspection. Coach or re-train housekeepers if standards are not met
  • Deal promptly and effectively with guest requests or complaints.
  • Ensure key control.
  • Perform other duties as required by Management.
