Job Summary:

The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness standards in our furnished apartments are met, both upon arrival as well as during our guest’s stays. The housekeeper should have attention to detail and provide exceptional service to all guests that is consistent and continually in accordance with the brand standards. Housekeepers promote a positive image of the company to guests and must be pleasant, honest and friendly and should be able to address guest requests and concerns.

Essential Functions

  • Complete daily schedule of tasks to include performing regular housekeeping apartment cleans as well as change of resident cleans. Cleaning must be performed to standards.
  • Complete Xora forms as assigned each day
  • Inspect furniture condition on regular basis to insure furniture functionality and quality. Report information to Operations Manager or Supervisor.
  • Inspect apartment condition to include floors/walls to insure a clean and damage-free apartment. Report information to Operations Manager or Supervisor.
  • Various warehouse duties to include preparation of setup bins, shipping/receiving, inventory, laundry as needed
  • Report or attempt to solve any problems or issues reported by guests in a quick, courteous and professional manner.
  • Maintain good relations with all guests, vendors and apartment community partners.
  • Communicate with all internal departments to ensure that customer service needs and expectations are fulfilled
  • Create a positive, friendly atmosphere for guests and other team members
  • Attend and participate in department meetings
  • Actively participate in accident prevention and safety
  • Follow Lost & Found SOP
  • Drive company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner
  • Report any issues, malfunctions or incidents with fleet vehicles
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualification Standards

Education & Experience

  • A high school diploma is required
  • 1 year of experience preferred
  • Ability to interact patiently, tactfully, and diplomatically with internal and external guests
  • Ability to communicate clearly, must be able to communicate needs and understand assignments
  • Must possess valid driver’s license; driving record must be within acceptable insurance requirements and must maintain clear driving records throughout employment

 

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, bend, and carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Corrected vision to normal range
  • Ability to work long hours as needed
  • Ability to use a wide range of cleaning products and tools, in accordance with OSHA and safety guidelines

  • Work through basic problems and make sound judgments
  • Ability to work effectively on multiple tasks in a day within the allowed time
  • Able to work independently
  • Comfortable driving to various locations
  • Professional relationships with apartment community staff members and guests
