The soon-to-open Residence Inn by Marriott® Tampa Wesley Chapel is located on the 120-acre campus of the Wiregrass Ranch Sports Complex of Pasco County.  Our hotel provides more space and more flexibility, so our guests can travel the way they love to live. 128 spacious suites with full kitchens, expansive outdoor spaces, an on-site market, and a robust, daily hot breakfast create a homelike atmosphere. House Attendant will be responsible for assisting the housekeeping team with their everyday operational materials, cleanliness, and amenities to ensure exceptional service to all guests that is consistent and continually in accordance with the Marriott standards under the franchise of Mainsail Lodging & Development.

Status: Non – Exempt – $12/hour + Benefits

Essential Functions:

  • Strip the rooms in preparation for cleaning
  • Enjoy having FUN with the willingness to help others
  • Acknowledge guest in all public spaces with a warm and friendly greeting
  • Distribute the necessary items to the assigned housekeepers
  • Clean and organize all hotel public space
  • Take care of any guest’s special requests for pre-arrival e.g., foam pillows, extra towels
  • Sweep and/or vacuum hallways daily
  • Clean inside the elevators and polish elevator tracks and landings
  • Maintain storage closets in order and keep par levels to standard
  • Keep stairwells and ice machine areas free from debris
  • Follow scheduled shifts and follow break and lunch requirements
  • Deep clean on rotational schedule
  • Assist Housekeeping Manager/Supervisor with VIP arrivals
  • Report any light outages, broken equipment, or room disparities to manager paying close attention to hallway areas
  • Assist guest with any special requests
  • Ability to communicate with manager on inventory needs e.g., amenities, pillowcases, bed linen, robes, etc.
  • Professional communication while using technology
  • Respect all guests, team members, and management by maintaining a positive, friendly attitude
  • Ability to interact with guests and share hotel knowledge using personalization, such as using the guest’s name
  • Maintain guest confidentiality following all hotel procedures
  • Report any suspicious activity or unusual items in room
  • Report any irregular behavior from guests in public areas and/or in rooms
  • Ability to take initiative and handle assignments with limited supervision
  • Follow all hotel policies and procedures as outlined in the team member handbook

 

Qualification Standards:

Education & Experience

  • Previous hospitality experience preferred
  • Previous cleaning experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to use technology e.g. tablets, iPads

 

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to squat and bend
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Corrected vision to normal range
  • Ability to work long hours as needed
  • Ability to lift / push / pull 50 lbs.
