Job Summary:

Guest Service Associate will be responsible for Front Desk and Concierge Services. They will be the first impression providing a unique check-in experience. The rooming of each guest to ensure an exceptional personalized service to all guests that is consistent and continually in accordance to the standards of Mainsail. **This position works the second shift, from 7am to 3pm**

Essential Functions

Acknowledge guest in all public spaces with a warm and friendly greeting
Take care of any guest special requests for pre-arrival e.g. foam pillows, extra towels
Maintain all hallways to ensure they are free from dust and/or scuffs, windowsills, door frames and base boards
Sweep and/or vacuum hallways daily
Professional communication while using technology
Respect all guests, team members, and management by maintaining a positive, friendly attitude
Ability to interact with guests and share hotel knowledge using personalization, such as using the guest name
Assist guests to their rooms, if requested
Assist with guest luggage, if requested
Maintain guest confidentiality
Produce room keys for all guests ensuring guest confidentiality throughout their stay and beyond
Provide local information for shopping, dining, nightlife, and recreational destinations
Receive, store, and deliver luggage and mail
Respond to guest inquiries
Follow scheduled shifts and follow break and lunch requirements
Report any suspicious activity or unusual items in rooms
Report any irregular behavior from guests in public areas and/or in a room
Ability to take initiative and handle assignments with limited supervision
Follow all hotel policies and procedures as outlined in the team member handbook
Maintain cleanliness and order of work area
Other duties as assigned

Qualification Standards

Education & Experience

High School diploma or higher
Previous hospitality experience preferred
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to use technology e.g. tablets, iPads

Physical Demands

Ability to sit stand for extended periods of time
Ability to squat and bend
Ability to communicate clearly
Corrected vision to normal range
Ability to work long hours as needed
Ability to lift /push/pull 40 lbs.
