**This position is based in our Nashville Market, with our Oakwood franchisee, Mainsail Housing of Tennessee, LLC. / Hours are typically Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm **

Key Features of Your Day

  • Operations and Management
  • Supervising and supporting the Operations, Sales, and Guest Services teams
  • Responsible for overseeing and growing business within the market
  • Managing inventory of units within the market
  • Establishing and maintaining pricing in the local market
  • Inspecting apartments to ensure standards are being met
  • Creation and management of annual budget and monthly reports
  • Supervisory and Guest Communication
  • Always provide excellent customer service to our guests, proactively communicate issues and problems, and follow up after the resolution of the issue
  • Attend client, networking, and vendor functions
  • Administration of market’s website, maintain content up-to-date
  • Hiring, training, and coaching staff, including providing performance feedback on Performance Appraisals to team members that directly report to the GM position

 

Best Candidates Will Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in the corporate housing field preferred
  • Management experience required
  • Must possess State valid drivers’ license and driving records must be within acceptable insurance requirements
  • Ability to work with and understand financial information and data, basic arithmetic functions required
  • Must work well in a fast-paced work environment
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to interact patiently, tactfully, and diplomatically with internal and external guests
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience in corporate housing systems (Oscar, ServiceTrack, Oakwood’s PASSPORT) a plus, but not required

 

 

As a General Manager, you will function as the operational and motivational leader for the team. Responsibilities include all aspects relating to guest and employee satisfaction, financial performance, sales and revenue generation, and operations effectiveness. Also, you will ensure the implementation of Oakwood’s brand service standards and initiatives with the objective of meeting or exceeding guest expectations.
