The soon-to-open Residence Inn by Marriott® Tampa Wesley Chapel is located on the 120-acre campus of the Wiregrass Ranch Sports Complex of Pasco County.  Our hotel provides more space and more flexibility, so our guests can travel the way they love to live. 128 spacious suites with full kitchens, expansive outdoor spaces, an on-site market, and a robust, daily hot breakfast create a homelike atmosphere. JOB SUMMARY:

The Food and Beverage Manager will be responsible to manage all the hotel’s food and beverage outlets from the arrival experience to the completion of the guest experience to ensure excellent customer service and maximize revenue and profits support overall. As the Food and Beverage Manager, one is required to work with the hotel General Manager and Assistant General Manager on staff training, assisting with developing cost-saving and profit-enhancing measures; POS system and service, consistency in processes, and assisting with organizing special events in the hotel’s bar and meeting/outdoor space.

Starting Salary – $50k

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain compliance with Marriott and Mainsail Lodging & Development company core values.
  • Create a positive and FUN atmosphere for guests and team members.
  • Manage the day-to-day F&B operations of the Sky Box bar & lounge and the hotel’s daily breakfast program, ensuring quality service standards are met and the guest experience is exceptional.
  • Prepare all F&B team member schedules according to the business forecast, payroll budget guidelines, and productivity requirements.
  • Review staffing levels to ensure exceptional guest service and operational needs are met and financial objectives are being met.
  • Maintain accurate payroll for all team members within the department.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which includes wearing proper professional attire.
  • Comply with all safety standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations and OSHA guidelines.
  • Respond to all guest requests, problems, complaints, and/or accidents at all F&B outlets in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner including follow-up to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Assist servers, bartenders, breakfast hosts and cooks during meal periods and peak times.
  • Work with Assistant General Manager on conducting monthly meetings with department to review scores, training, and any hotel/department items.
  • Maintain service and sanitation standards in bar/ lounge and breakfast area.
  • Ensure team members are aware of all applicable laws regarding alcoholic beverages.
  • Complete all required training from Marriott and Mainsail Corporate.
  • Ensure compliance with all F&B policies and procedures by training, supervision, hands on approach, and follow-up.
  • Control costs by conducting daily/monthly par checks and inventory to review portion control, reduce waste, and ensure no interruption of service.
  • Assist in the planning and adjusting of menus and beverages.
  • Promote open lines of communication with all management and team members and maintain a professional work environment.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years in a F&B supervisory role at a restaurant, bar, or hotel.
  • High school diploma or equivalent or higher required.
  • Knowledge of wines, beers, spirits, and mixers a must.
  • Yelp knowledge preferred.
  • ServSafe Manager Certification and Tips Certification required.
