Job Summary:

Kid’s Activities Team Member with be responsible for facilitating outdoor/indoor activities and monitoring all children participating in these events.

Please note, Mainsail Lodging & Development is a drug-free workplace. Pre-employment screening, to include a background test and drug screen, is required for all candidates offered a position.

  1. Assist with kid’s outdoor/indoor activities.
  2. Work actively with other staff, Activities Coordinator, and volunteers to facilitate a safe and fun experience.
  3. Assist with activities and games that are appropriate for the age and ability of the individuals attending activity.
  4. Monitor all activities.
  5. Report any behavior incidents to Activities Coordinator through written and verbal communication.
  6. Lead opening and closing circle for kids.
  7. Assist Activities Coordinator with evening activities, if necessary.
  8. Assist with Activities Coordinator with beach front activities (building of sand domes).
  9. Maintain monthly checks, safety walk-thru, and safety drills with Activities Coordinator.
  10. Follow all safety policies adopted by Mainsail Lodging & Development/The Island.
  11. All other duties as assigned.

Non-Essential:

  1. Assist in preparing weekly required paperwork.
  2. Maintain proper storage of supplies in a safe, clean activities area.
  3. Issue daily water/snacks to kids.
  4. Monitor lunch time/set-up/ clean-up.
  5. Assist with kids Specific training.
  6. Maintain inventory for paper goods, snacks, and first aid areas.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must be able to relate well and work with kids varying in ages and abilities.
  2. Must be dependable, flexible and responsible.
  3. Must have good communication skills
