Job Summary:

As a liaison between Innovation Hotel and Arthrex dining facilities, the Banquet Supervisor will be responsible for providing administrative support such as processing bi-weekly payroll and communicating any HR-related needs for the service team. Additionally, this position will assist in planning for exceptional service to all guests and ensuring open communication with the Arthrex Banquet Manager & Corporate Executive Chef. This role will support the Innovation Food & Beverage leadership team with the day-to-day operations for operations spread throughout the Arthrex campus to include high profile catered events and employee cafeteria service. Due to the “working” nature of this position, this role will require serving guests in a gracious and professional manner that is representative of the highest of standards of Food & Beverage service.

 

Essential Functions

  • Act as a liaison between Innovation Hotel Leadership and Arthrex Leadership
  • Creating and distributing a well-planned schedule to all employees
  • Ensures accuracy in payroll reporting for off-site Food & Beverage employees through ADP TotalSource
  • Continuous communication with hotel leadership regarding any HR-related concerns regarding the well-being of employees.
  • Assist in maintaining a motivated, engaging team
  • Assist with on boarding and training new team members
  • Maintain professionalism with team members, leadership, and guests
  • Handle changes to daily scheduling of team members when necessary
  • Monitor hours, watch the flow of business, and adjust staffing levels appropriately per the expectations of Arthrex leadership for successful event execution
  • Acts as a role model during guest service through exhibiting a strong work ethic and providing exemplary service.
  • Maintain exceptional cleanliness standards as expected by Innovation Hotel
  • Report to work on time and in proper uniform/approved attire
  • Clean and stock throughout the dining area as necessary throughout the shift
  • Be aware of any ordering needs and communicate them effectively
  • Perform other duties as assigned to service guests
  • Monetary tips are not to be solicited during events

Qualification Standards

Education & Experience

  • High School diploma or higher
  • Previous hospitality/banquet serving experience required
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience with payroll processing and scheduling preferred
  • Excellent guest service skills and the ability to teach others
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to use technology and business software, e.g. tablets, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and perform tasks in varied weather conditions to include extreme heat and humidity
  • Ability to walk and bend
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
