We are currently seeking an Account Executive experienced in Strategic Outside Sales and Business Development to join our Oakwood team. **This position is based in our Nashville Market, with our Oakwood franchisee, Mainsail Housing of Nashville, LLC / Hours are typically 8:30 – 5:30 plus after hours networking events**

Key Features of your Day

 

  • NewAccount Acquisition
    • You will be actively researching and qualifying prospective market accounts, including identifying the decision makers and key influencers.
    • You will develop a sales strategy, based on the needs of the market and analyzing business trends.
    • You will sell in a collaborative environment, typically in the lead you will execute the sale, including proposal development, conducting presentations, negotiating pricing and presenting the contract to close the sale
  • Account Management
    • You will actively sell into existing market accounts, identifying opportunities for expanding into other departments or projects and ensuring accounts are managed according to objectives
    • You will actively develop your accounts sales strategy, through needs analysis and make appropriate recommendations
    • As the account executive you will be maintaining a consultative relationship with the market account decision makers and influencers to ensure contract renewal and a continued growth path
    • Your accounts may involve collaborating with other company stake holders on strategic goals
  • Account Service
    • You will Maintain the accuracy of market account administration by proactively updating account information and ensuring your record keeping is consistent and current
    • Utilize an escalation process with internal Associates to ensure service level agreements are achieved

 

Best Candidates will have

 

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required; bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • 3-5 years selling in a B2B environment with the responsibility for self-generated leads and territory management
  • 2-3 years in market selling experience
  • Hospitality/Service background, preferred
  • Strong prospecting and referral skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to interact patiently, tactfully, and diplomatically with internal and external guests
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to develop PowerPoint presentations
  • Siebel experience or similar CRM, a plus

 

As the Account Executive you will provide strategic outside sales and business development for the market. With the primary responsibility to find and develop relationships with local businesses in need of temporary housing. As an Account Executive, you must be self-motivated and driven to succeed; you must be results driven, have superior negotiation skills, and the ability to persevere in challenging situations. You need to have the communication and interpersonal skills necessary to engage a variety of audiences and convey information in a compelling way that garners positive results. In addition, the Account Executive should have great telephone and in person presentation, excellent grammar and writing skills, and be creative, and well organized. They should also be friendly, energetic and assertive and should maintain professional relationships with clients.
